Do I have to call the Carrier to schedule a pick-up?
No, after you've marked the order as ready for pick up for LTL orders.
A pick-up request is generated directly to the carrier and they will come in within the next 24-48 business hours during your regular hours of operation.
If you already have a pre-scheduled daily pick up with certain carriers who we are also using, you can release the freight to them at that time however please ensure you are marking orders as ready for pick up before you release the freight to them.
Please keep in mind that if you are marking orders as ready for pick up early in the morning, it is possible for the carrier to come in the same day. If you need a bit of a buffer, please mark your orders as ready for pick up from noon onwards, which would prevent having the carrier to come in the same day.
Please ensure that you are marking orders as ready only at the time when you get the confirmation that it is actually ready to be picked up from your warehouse in order to prevent instances wherein the carrier comes in and gets turned away. Note that having carriers come back can cause a credit memo to be created due to attempted pick up charges.
Most carriers will pick up the orders except for the carrier Metropolitan Warehouse and Deliveright.
If your team Metropolitan Warehouse or Deliveright as carrier for pick up, then please email email@example.com to schedule pick up.
