Validations During Product Upload

 

Product Upload errors are fixed with these 3 steps:

1. Define the error type

   The error type gives information about which fields were input incorrectly. Our system processes these sheets automatically, and so has set expectations on what values to use for certain fields.

2. Find the correct information needed
   

   The Product Upload template has 2 tabs: 'Info' and 'Products'. The 'Info' tab lists each field, and their expected values. 

3. Replace the incorrect information
   Use one of the options available in the relevant column of the 'Info' tab to replace the incorrect values in the 'Products' tab.

'Info' tab fields are detailed below.

PRODUCT DETAILS

SKU Number: - This is a mandatory field that can be a Text or Number.

Brand ID: - This is the unique identification number that would have been sent by your training co-ordinator.

Category ID: - Enter a value from the Category Info list that would match your particular SKU.

Country of Manufacture: - we'll need the 2 Digit country code e.g China = CN, France =FR

Collection: - If you have a list of collection names, you can send them to           [e-mail] and it shall be added to your brand.

DESCRIPTION

Product Title: - The Title should be between 20-80 characters.

This can include: 

• Brand Name
• Collection Name
• Key Attributes (such as Color, Size, Material, Shape, and Style)
• Product type or Category
• Quantity if applicable 

Short Description: -This is between 40 -2000 characters Max.

This can include:

• additional product information not easily seen from the images.
• Contain certifications, if applicable for products.
• Useful features and benefits 
• in proper sentences/ Paragraph form

Product Features: - This takes between 10 -250 characters with up to a max of 15 features.

Include :

• Selling features of your product & add their benefits
• Finish techniques and processes
• What the product listing includes
• The general Uses of the product
• Warranty information

Product Specifications: This is an optional Field but we highly recommend provided us with at least two specifications up to a max of 15 features.

These would include:

• Individual Product dimensions & weights
• Include warranty duration
• if the product requires assembly 
• inside dimensions
• Weight capacity if applicable

Proposition 65: - indicate if an item needs the Prop 65 warning.

• If YES> select all chemical components from the drop-down.

 For Commerical Use: - This is the only mandatory field that requires a Yes/No answer. 

Color: - Choose the selection of colors from the Drop-down menu on the "Info Tab"

Material: - Product Material is the only Mandatory Field. Select a value from the drop-down.

Style: - Refer to the info tab and choose a value from the list of style attributes.

UPC: - UPC will support only 12 or 13 digits

Wholesale Price: - This is the only mandatory field that requires a value. 

Freight Cost: - If shipping via Channel Gate Account, Freight cost not required.

MSRP: - The manufacturer's suggested retail price.

MAP: - is only required for MAP products

Selling Price: - is the online Price; It is automated; backend algorithms determines this value to ensure the product is competitive. 

Active: The mandatory response options are either "Yes" or "No"

IsbackOrdered: - Yes/No. If an item is on backorder you will be prompted to enter a valid date.

Available Quantity: - This field is inventory-related and will be automated, reflecting quantities from your inventory feed.

SHIPPING

Ships on Pallet: - Yes/No if an item ships on a Pallet, the service level cannot be a small parcel

Assembly Required: - Mandatory response options - Yes/No. is required.

Shipping Service Level: - Refer to the "info Tab" and choose a value from the list of shipping service levels.

Ships Within - From:  - A value will be required if the product shipping lead-time falls outside of your standard shipping time. This value must be a number.

Ships Within - To: - A value will be required if the product's shipping lead time falls outside of your standard shipping time.

Sold In USA: - A" Yes " or "No" is required in this column

Sold In Canada: - A" Yes " or "No" is required in this column 

HS Code: - Required if SKU is sold in Canada. ( A HS code is required by Canadian Customs Agencies. It is a standard way to define an item's type and material)

Product Height: - Enter the Height of the Product

Product Width: - Enter the Width of the Product

Product Depth: -Enter the Depth of the Product.

Product Weight: - This is a Mandatory field that requires the total Product Weight for that specific SKU.

Package 1 Width: - Enter the Width of the Carton associated with that particular SKU.

Package 1 Height: - Enter the Height of the Carton associated with that particular SKU.

Package 1 Depth: - Enter the Depth of the Carton associated with that particular SKU.

Package 1 Weight: - Enter the Weight of the Carton associated with that particular SKU.

Package-Type: - This will show how the product is packaged, either in a carton or wrapped. This will be a mandatory field to complete.

 Package-SKU: -  This will be a Mandatory field, this will help in identifying the packages when it comes to Damages. Information should between 2-30 characters

Duplicated Package Dimensions: - If two cartons have exactly the same dimensions in terms of Height, Width, and Depth then you'll include the dimensions for one of the cartons and on the column "Package Quantity" Change it to 2. if they don't have the same dimensions leave the package quantity as 1 and proceed to include the dimensions of the second carton in the next column. 

 Girth: -  This is the distance around an object. Max dim+2( 1st dim+ 2nd dim)

 Primary Image: - This is where you'll be adding a white background image URL for your products.

 Primary White Background Image: - This is where you'll be adding a white background image URL for your products.

Extra Images: - This is where you'll be able to attach the URLs for your lifestyle Images
